Twisted Tails — Details

Something old: Here are the classic fairy tales we all know and love, adults and children alike. Cinderella... Hansel and Gretel... Goldilocks and the Three Bears... and many more. Twisted Tails features traditional retellings of all these favorites in a delightful illustrated storybook format. Something new: But there’s more: now you can give the ‘tails’ a hilarious twist as your computer slots randomly selected names, words and phrases into the framework of the traditional stories. You can even select the names of the hero/heroine in each story — or let the computer pick for you! You’ll roll on the floor laughing — and you never get the same story twice.
Things get even funnier when you begin adding your own words to the computer’s vocabulary. The Twisted Tails Wordlist Window makes it simple to enter new words, and helps you along by proposing defaults for the different word forms. Kids especially love it when they see the crazy words they add immediately start to appear in the stories! Lots of fun — and it’s educational too! Did you say ‘educational’? These days, with so much competition from TV, video games and the like, parents often wonder if kids are getting enough practice with basic language skills relating to reading, vocabulary and grammar. Twisted Tails is designed to give kids’ language muscles a pain-free work-out that’s so much fun they’ll keep on coming back for more! The light version of Twisted Tails gives you access to three favorite stories, and lets you edit the name lists used in the "twisted" stories. There is no time limit — you can use the game as long you like without having to pay. If you want to upgrade, registration unlocks seven more stories, gives full editing privileges, and allows stories to be printed and saved. Choose the version that’s right for you
